Sure, the 2021 iPad has had the same design for a while now, but that also means Apple has had plenty of time to tweak and refine it. At the same time, there are significant improvements. The wide-angle front camera performs better for video calls, performance is vastly improved thanks to the A13 Bionic chip, and it offers a solid battery life of over 10 hours. It even has a headphone jack, and best of all, it’s relatively inexpensive compared to other iPad models.

The downsides are the lack of a USB-C port, a rather hefty design (those chunky bezels), and the lack of second-gen Pencil support – for that you’ll need a ipad air, miniatureWhere Pro. But most of us use an iPad to browse the web, read, and watch video content. The 256GB model is a better choice than the 64GB version for things like that, so the $50 discount makes it an easy choice.
