As many jewelry houses shift their strategies to focus on more sustainable efforts, the family-run Italian jeweler Buccellati embraced this idea with the launch of its Vintage collection during Paris Haute Couture earlier this month. The 37-piece collection features highlights from the brand’s archives, spanning from the 1940s to the 1990s. “The designs on display are steeped in the history of the Buccellati family,” the luxury jeweler said in a statement. “They are emblematic of the stylistic evolution of the house, which has always defended exceptional standards and unfailing fidelity to its own DNA.”
As far as possible, each jewel is kept in its original period box; and if the box no longer exists, these pieces are put in safety in box reproductions of their time. Each item comes with a warranty certificate, including an image of the product and a copy of its original design. The collection is available in Buccellati boutiques worldwide: Milan, Rome, Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles. Below is a selection of jewelry from each decade.
