âWe miss seeing our customers, so we’re sending a message of joy and positivity as we prepare to ‘Ring in Spring! “” Doreen P. Cugno and Luanne Sorrentino, co-founders of St. George Theater Restoration Inc., wrote in a statement. “As much as we would love to see everyone in person to celebrate in style, we are excited to host this spectacular virtual event as we continue to wait for large gatherings to be authorized later in 2021.”

Last year, the theater hosted a telethon to help maintain the historic space with Staten Island celebrities and former artists associated with the St. George Theater.
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and CDC regulations, the St. George Theater has moved its annual gala to the virtual space. The presentation will include a virtual gala video presentation, a one-hour special that will include a red carpet segment, an overview of the latest renovation projects and video messages from special guest stars as well as a musical performance by Bobby Wilson with The Coda. Band and Les Chiclettes. This virtual event is produced by Fuzz on Lens Productions and will be broadcast live on Facebook, YouTube and the official site of the theater.
Sponsors and supporters of the gala will be recognized in a commemorative electronic journal that will be shared on social media, emailed to over 60,000 patrons and posted on the St. George Theater website for one year. Gala supporters who donate $ 250 or more will have the chance to visit the magnificent new renovations to the theater, which will enhance the experience for fans and performers as the theater reopens. Private tours will be scheduled the week before the gala (April 19-23), according to organizers.
